Diary of a Wimpy Kid is a series of five fiction books, written by American author and cartoonist Jeff Kinney.

The books are the journals of the main character, whose name is Greg Heffley.

It is the first book in the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series, released on April 1, 2007.

The series has stayed on the New York Times Best Seller list, for children's books, for 41 weeks as of November 1, 2009.

I cant wait to watch this movie, :) i have read all the books, then one day i was watching TV, then all of the sudden, ''The Dairy of a Wimpy Kid'' came on, and it said there was going to be a movie, i was SO excited because i really wanted to watch it. Well, i guess i got to wait. I hope the characters act the same so it gives it the same vibe as the books. I hope it turns out good, :) and my favourite is Rowley, because he acts all stupid, and i love it ! Also i like Rodrick. well bye! i hope the movie turns out! :)
