Season 1 Underground Site

Here at RFR we hate is when...

When you have to decide what you're going to be for the rest of your lives when you're still in high school.

Question: Q. What's up Shady Lane? This is Talkaholic here. My problem is that I love talking on the phone with my friends but we only have one line at my house and my parents say I can't stay on it all night. What do I do?

Shady Lane: Well Talkaholic, you could ask your parents for a second line for your room. You could even offer to pay for part of the cost yourself. Or better yet, instead of always talking to your friends on the phone, hangout together at a place like Mickey's Discs. Mickey's always got something cool happening.

I'm Question Mark, and I'm wondering: Does detention really work? I mean consider this… If someone breaks the rules they are "sentenced" to spend time in detention. Detention serves to do two things: 1. Introduce them to other so-called "rule-breakers." 2. Give them nothing but time to plan and scheme. It's not surprising then that the same people continue to get detention. Because, whether the administration realizes it or not, detention becomes a virtual club of rule-breakers and revolutionaries.

Use big words like um…well… "pistachios."
